For my online journalism class I had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside with @wucftv and cover my first election! Here’s a mini pkg of my work that was posted on their Twitter/Facebook page on how students on the UCF campus and first time voters were feeling! Such a bittersweet feeling knowing I attended my third and FINAL Intern Pursuit! 🥹

My first Intern Pursuit in 2022 when I wasn’t even in the journalism program yet and still a Radio/Television major, with my only experience being our NAHJ Knightly Latino Webcasts and my customer service from Target 😅 Seeing myself today and how much I have evolved makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! 🥰

I had the great opportunity to speak with @news6wkmg and @fox35orlando and got some great advice on navigating life after graduation and going into my first market job!

I’m so grateful to Intern Pursuit and our amazing people who helped organize everything, you guys are rockstars! Also to my beloved NAHJ for the constant love and support 💙

In honor of it being game day, here’s a throwback to our last home game! 🏈

This semester I told myself that one of my goals is to go outside of my comfort zone and cover something that I normally wouldn’t gravitate towards.

For me, that can be sports! Coming from someone who isn’t very sports savvy, I find it to sometimes be a complex and intimidating beat to cover ESPECIALLY when it comes to American football (for me)😅

I covered the football game against the Sam Houston University Bearkats with @smendiaz and well…I’m back to report that it was an absolute blast! 💥 The infectious energy and excitement the stadium holds is like no other, not even rain could ruin it! I’m already looking forward to when I’m able to cover another game! ⚔️

Super grateful to spend my last semester @ucf.edu in my capstone class with such a promising group of determined and committed reporters!

I’m also SO happy to announce that I’m a part of The Charge On Air leadership team as assignment editor✨

I’m so excited to bring more modern and creative newscasts to our campus with the help my two leadership friends @smendiaz @newswgabrielle 🤍

Huge shoutout to our lovely production team with creating the visuals for our new newscast, they have been absolutely KILLING it! 🔥

As it’s my last week at my internship with @wesh2 I’ve been reflecting on the incredible past couple months here! I’ve had SO many learning opportunities with great people and I can’t believe it’s coming to a close 😭 I don’t want it to end 🥹💙

here’s some pictures on what I’ve been up to here! I’ve gotten a taste of everything which I love - I shadowed assignment desk, I’ve been out on the field with reporters, I saw how things run on the digital side of WESH and I’ve been in the control room with producers to see how it is to actually run a news show! I even have been trusted to step up as associate producer for the last month of my internship to run prompter and help producers get their show done by writing scripts for the night-side shows! 🥳

Had such a fun time hanging out for the day with @nahj_sportstaskforce and @nahjcentralfl 🩵💙 for the Mextour game Mexico v Colombia!!!

Thank you so so much for inviting us, I had a dream come true seeing my country’s feminine fútbol team play (and win :p) 🇨🇴 It was also my first time attending a sports press conference and it was so cool to see how it goes down. I learned so much and got to meet amazing new people, I’m so happy I got to experience this with my ucf nahj fam 🩵

I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity and wow what an experience! I definitely felt more comfortable in front of the camera this time around and it excites me to be noticing my own progress and confidence evolving and I’m itching to do it all over again ;) Thank you so much to my incredible co-anchor Manu I’m so happy we had each other throughout all this and I’m so proud of us!! 🥹 Also a HUUUGE thank you to our amazing and talented producers and president and vice-president Isa and Reina!! 🩵🩵 This could not have been done without you guys and I’m eternally grateful for you both! It’s such a bittersweet feeling knowing that this was your guy’s last show with NAHJ 🥲 BUT I’m happy to have done this with journey with you guys 💕 Also thank you so so much for our NAHJ crew who I love so much and were all hands on deck and our production team for trucking through all the chaos! ✨ (and of course you know we had to go celebrate after a successful show 🤩🥂)
